Hi,

Greetings to all. I was looking at EAP110-Outdoor. It has Detachable Antennas, so i was wondering what is the maximum gain antenna that can be attached to it.

I am trying to increase its range to a minimum of 500  meters.

Thank you

Hi  @Utpal_

TP-Link doesn't sell antennas separately. You may contact a retailer for this info.

  @Vincent-TP

Thank you for your time.
I have identified a vender who can provide me with antennas with following specifications

Antenna 1:

Frequency: 2400-2500MHz    Gain: 6-9dBi
VSWR: 1.5 : 1                         Impedance: 50Ω
Connector: N(Female)            Polarization: Vertical
Input power: 100W                 H Plane BW (°): 360
E Plane BW (°): 28±2             Lightning Protection: DC Grounded
Dimension: Ø40mm               Length: ≈520mm
Radome Material: UPVC       Gross Weight : ≈2±0.5kg
Mounting Hardware: MS Galvanized & Powder Coated
Mounting Style: Tower and Pole
Supporting Pole Diameter:1-1.5 Inches/40-60mm
Wind Speed(km/hr): 120

Antenna 2:

Frequency: 2400~2500                                  Gain: 2X14
VSWR: ≤1.5                                                    Impedance: 50Ω
Connector: 2X Female                                    Polarization: ±45°
Input power: 200W                                          Radom material: UPVC

Operating temperature (°C ): -40~60              Mechanical tilt (°): 0~15
Electrical Down tilt (°): 0                                  Dimension: 500×128×56
Weight (kg): 1.6                                              Radome colour: Gray
Connector position: Bottom

Are theese antennas compartable with the  EAP110-Outdoor?

I believe EAP110-Outdoor can operate as a client.

Hi  @Utpal_

EAP110-outdoor can't operate as a cilent. It's a pure access point.

I can't identify whether the antennas are compatible or not.

The most basic is to make sure their connectors match with each other.

  @Vincent-TP

EAP110-outdoor can't operate as a client. It's a pure access point.

I was planning to connect them to make a network between 2 section. But if it can not work as a client, I don't think it will be possible.

Here is my scenario.
I have 2 sections.

Section 1 is fixed and do not move. Whereas Section 2 is a moving platform. I want to establish a 2 way communication between these 2 sections. The maximum distance between the 2 sections at any given point of time is 1 KM.

I planned to use 2 of the EAP110-Outdoor connected to each other on air with external antennas for extend range. But if it cannot work as client, this setup cannot be achieved i believe.

Are there any other product available in market for my scenario?

Hi  @Utpal_

EAP225-outdoor can work as repeater mode; it's antenna is also ditachable.

The main difficulty is that there is a moving section; this will make the wireless bridge unstable.

Where is the Internet source then? the fixed section or the moving section?
