Problems creating LAGG / LACP from SX3008F to SG3428x-m2
Hi,
I am trying to set up a lagg / lacp of two links from my TL-SX3008F to my SG3428x-m2.
I understand that one side should be active part and one side should be passive.
So I went ahead setting up the SX3008F witch LAG in active.
Then i went to SG3428x-m2 and was surprised not to find any override for the 10G SFPs to define a LAG.
Is this feature not supported or am I missing s.th.?
thx in advance

Hi @dschmitz
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Where did you configure the LAG in controller mode? Screenshot?

Hi @Clive_A
it finally worked but only with the iOS Omada App. Previously I tried with the Software Docker based Omada Controller for the sx3008F i have all the options available in the ui.
However the SG3428x-m2 is only showing me the possibility of aggregates for the 2.5gbit rj45s not for the 4x10g sfp.
When i defined it with the iOS App i have set SG to passive and SX to active and then i had everything blinking like crazy because of loopback so i changed that to spanning tree.
Now this seems to be working. The Software controller also shows this new 2x10g LAG / Trunk.
So if i am not missing s.th. here i would say the UI of the software controller is missing some stuff.
Beside i would love to have the iOS app in english even though i am german but seems only possible by switching location there is no language switch.

@Clive_A i found the UI issue it makes a difference whether to directly select the port for edit or to check it and select edit on top.
If the latter is done no aggregate is shown. It is because UI thinks with only one port selected for edit one would do a batch edit.
I think if only a single selection is done it should not be interpreted as a batch edit.

@Clive_A i also see on this trunk link speed set to manual as 10G which is auto on my 2.5gbit lags. I did not set this to manual is this from the trunk and spanning tree?

@Clive_A It is the official TP-Link Software Controller and iOS App which contradict. Or what do you mean by official?
Regarding my configuration of the trunk lacp would you say this setup is correct like i did it or is something missing?
If you could shed some light this would be awesome I am just getting started since one week with this whole omada setup which consists of:
Software Controller (hosted via Docker)
iOS App
TL-SX3008F
SG3428x-m2 (Core Switch)
EAP-772 + TP-Link Poe injector (all 2.5gbit 30watts)
Internet as of now via Fritzbox planned to be replaced with modem and OPNsense
Core Switch will run the normal setup and SX3008F will attach a little development cluster (3xMS-01 each 2lacp as well)
For firewall and NAS i also setup lacp for their nics. There i learned that proxmox / linux is active part of the lag and switch is passiv (hash policy is layer 2 + 3).
As i understand i need first to get all these lacps right before continuing with VLANs.
If you could give some guidance about important points i should implement that would be awesome - thanks in advance.
