Region : Argentina

Model : TL-ER6120

Hardware Version : V1

Firmware Version :

ISP :

WAN 1 = cable internet (Telenet) through CBN cable modem CV6181E
WAN 2 = dsl internet (Belgacom) through Technicolor DSL gateway TG589Bvn (b-box 3)

Previously we used a Peplink 380 but decided to replace it with the TP-Link TL-ER6120 because the 380 was too noisy and the 6120 fanless.

Setup is almost out of the box with most factory settings. WAN-port settings have been entered with data from the ISP's.

Clients benefit from the 2 connections. If one would fail, there is never a loss of connection to the internet.

This has been working fine with the Peplink, but now with the TP-Link we experience sometimes issues with the DNS. Whenever a client is connected to the cable internet (WAN 1) it is OK, but if the connection moves to the dsl internet (WAN 2), then from time to time a DNS error occurs and surfing to several websites is not possible.

Is there any setting in the TL-ER6120 we should change in order to solve this issue?

Set PPPoE Advanced Settings on WAN2 configuration, use 8.8.8.8 as DNS server.Maybe there are problems with the DNS server.
