Model: VIGI NVR1008H-8MP  
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.3 Build 241024 Rel.75761n

I cannot connect to my individual cameras firmware page when they are connected to the NVR's internal PoE switch (web browser times out tyring to connect to the cameras firmware page). However I CAN connect to them if I connect the cameras to an external PoE switch and then connect that to the LAN port on the TP-Link NVR. So clearly this means that the NVR is blocking my ability to connect to my cameras firmware page directly.

 

Why is TP-Link blocking my access to my cameras? How do I fix this?

  @Clive_A They're all on the same subnet. E.g. camera on 192.168.1.221 and NVR on 192.168.1.200. Like I said, they are accessible when connected via a separate PoE switch. It's only when they are connected via the internal PoE switch in the TP-Link NVR that they get blocked from being accessible from the browser for some reason. All static IP's.

 

Edit: I figured it out. Turns out the issue is at least partly the browser. Although it still doesn't make sense. Because whilst I can connect to the cameras without issue via Firefox when the cameras are connected via a seperate PoE switch, I can't connect to them via Firefox when they are connected to the NVR's PoE switch. However, I CAN connect directly to the cameras firmware via MS Edge even when the cameras are connected to the NVR's internal PoE switch. I don't know what it is about the NVR's PoE switch that is blocking Firefox but not MS Edge...

What are the IP addresses you get on the cameras while they are connected to the NVR?

Note that the NVR can be a DHCP server. Are you certain that they are under the same subnet before you tried to access them?
