Model: TL-SG2428P
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: .1.1 Build 20210514 Rel.62941

Hello

Losing POE to ports

Network is all TP Link

A couple of AP's ( EAP225's)

SG2428 approx 3 years old

Started seeing POE shut down

Lost all POE to local switch ports

Rebooted 4 days ago and came back and found the switch POE shut down again last night (so it stayed up for 4 days after reboot)

Rebooted and POE is restored

Sw 1 ( Fiber to Sw 2 both SG2428P switches

Sw 2 is no issues

EAP 225  Access Points:

1 on Sw1

1 on Sw 2

Saw a previous post about this same issue and was wondering if a fix was developed

Unfortunately I thought I had backed up the logs but I did not ...

In the meantime I ordered a replacement switch and should be in tomorrow

Hi @Merlin02131

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

If a reboot can fix it, it does not look like a problem with the switch.

You should consider replacing the cable, test it with a 3ft, and monitor its status. If it still shuts down the PoE, it could be a problem with the switch.

There is never a firmware regarding this. We have not changed anything related to the PoE for years. And there isn't anything to add or modify for it.
