Hello.

 

Quick question as to best practice for inital setup of OMADA hardware.


What is the best practice here?

 

  • connect all devices (including controller) then go straight to controller and initiate deployment?

 

Or

 

  • Acces devices by local Ip, manually update firmwares then....
  • If I configure My Omada devices directly will the settings be intergrated with the OC200 controller that if it is introduced later?

>>>Choose this. No need  to configure devices separately, they will be wiped once been managed by a controller. Go to the controller's interface directly.

Hi @Defty,

 

Any manual settings made are overwritten when the device is adopted so easier to plug in, adopt and configure. If there are issues adopting, then you may need to update the firmware via device's Web UI.
