Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Hi,

I recently bought the TL-POE160S PoE Injector to power a network switch which supports 802.3af PD

The light on the injector is yellow before I plug it in to the switch and it remains yellow after I connect it using the supplied ethernet cable.

The switch does not power up at all.

From the installation guide a yellow light means there is 'no PoE power supply'

Should it be yellow before connection to the switch and go green after?

If so, can someone suggest how to troubleshoot the issue here?

Thanks and regards,

Guy

Hi @guy45

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Is this switch 802.3 capable?

Highly recommend you run different cables.

There isn't too much to troubleshoot. It should be plug-and-play.

Run a check on your switch User Guide. If there is a POE-IN port.
