Firmware Version : 1.0.1 Build 20130618 Rel.46227

Hi all,

I just received this router to solve my problem - I want to join 100% network 1 to network 2 so that net1 appears to be on net2 (even to the outside world)

Net2 runs a L2TP over IPsec server that each client on Net1 can connect to and behave as if they came from Net1 - This has been working for ages, but is a pain to configure each client on Net2 to do this, so I got the ER6020 in the hopes it would basically do everything...

I was wrong I think - the ER6020 on Net2 establishes perfectly the L2TP tunnel on LAN-to-LAN with Net1, but all clients on Net2 still pass out via WAN1 on the ER6020 with the external IP of the internet IP of Net2 (Instead of the external IP of Net1)

I can ping the ER6020 from Net1 on its ppp0 tunnel IP

I honestly thought this would be so simple - clients on Net2 can establish a L2TP tunnel no problem and behave with external IP of Net1 no problem. The ER6020 can establish the tunnel with net1 no problem, but any client behind the ER6020 cannot connect/pass through to the net1 network, nor have their external IP as Net1's external IP....

what am I doing wrong???

data to net1 go VPN; data to external internet go WAN. This VPN is for resource sharing, not for Internet access
