PPTP use GRE 47, PPTP ALG(passthrough) is built on this router ,so I think you can use it.

Its supposed to work. But it doesnt.....

I have both R470T and ER5120 TP Link routers and have been battling with support on this issue for months. I believe the 6120 is its big brother and I would think runs similar firmware.

I have now gone to the trouble of taking wireshark capture of noth an internal client connecting to the server using its internal address, which works. And an external client coming in via the internet, which does not work. The external trace shows that Protocol 47 is unreachable.

I have ALG PPTP enabled and port 1723 forwarded.

I am hoping TPLink will now finally acknowledge the issue and fix their firmware, in all of their routers to resolve the problem.

hey,

have the same problem, no GRE in the Protocol list. otherwise, the name could be 'GRE', but it asks for a start-/end port.

How to configure this correctly?

It´s because the TL5120 seems to block VPN authentication from WAN to a server inside local network.

w/best regards
Michael
