Router not resetting connection when WAN fail detected

Several versions of the firmware ago, when one of the WAN connections dropped, and Maintenance->Diagnostics->Online Detection showed "Online Detection failed.", the connection was automatically dropped and restarted.
This no longer happens.
I think this is a bug and it needs to be fixed.
