I'll make this quick, have rolled 2 of these out recently to small businesses that cannot get a decent VDSL/FTTP connection, and each instance have had to revisit the site to install an additional router to act as DHCP server. These devices have the option to use as a DHCP server (small networks here, less than 30 leases) but they fall over constantly with client devices being unable to access the web even though they have the necessary IP credentails. Have tried cutting the DHCP pool down to what was needed + 10 leases, changed lease times, tried static IP on client PC's but no matter what i do it is still unstable and causing bad feeling and lack of faith in the product from the customers. The moment i switched the units to passthrough mode and let the routing take place on a router with 5G coming into WAN, everything just worked and there have been no further issues.

The NR210 is a great device for connectivity to 4G/5G but should be capable of operating reliably as a DHCP server for a small network and currently doesn't. How about removing that function and coupling it with a router that will deliver the networking / wireless requirements but with a POE out WAN port to power the modem?

I have been installing MikroTik 4G LTE equipment for over 5 years and their router functionality is extremely reliable as it works out of the box. At the moment i am not confident in the NR210 for networking reliability which is making me look at other brands such as Zyxel.
