I want to know the technical difference between TL-R470T+ and TL-R480T+ load balance routers. I have gone through the Features and Specification on TP-Link site and not found any much difference between them. But there is huge price difference between the two on online shopping sites. I don't want to miss any important features in the basic one(TL-R470T+). Anybody tell me the advantages of TL-R480T+ over TL-R470T+ ?

As I know, features are similar to each other. But as to the number of some rules like MAC filter, bandwidth control etc., TL-R480T+ supports many more...

@Ada Why did you respond when you didn't know? That just wastes people's time and can mislead them. I've done a little research (on the TP-Link site) and the difference is the TL-R480+ is rack mountable. In future I suggest you ony contribute when you have something factual to add.

Its not only rack mountable, there are much more.

 

1. Concurrent sessions supported in R470 is 10K while R480 supports 30K;

2. You can do port mirroring in R480 which is not possible in R470

3. NAT is available in R480 while its not there in R470.

4. IP/MAC binding is removed in R480
