TL-ER6120 PPTP server not working, not accessable for clients
Region : Sweden
Model : TL-ER6120
Hardware Version : V1
Firmware Version : 1.0.7 Build 20140113 Rel.63736
ISP : Bridged Cable modem
Hi,
Ive setup a TL-ER6120 to work as PPTP server for clients (client to lan) and it refuses clients to connect. I cant see whats wrong.
I can access all other services, Dyndns update, virtual servers (port forwarding) and remote access to router.
My ISP is a Cable Company and the modem is bridged and have no restrictions of using VPN.
I want to have a lan to lan pptp tunnel between this TL-ER6120 as server and a remote TL-ER6020 as client.
It wont work this way, but if I do it the other way around TL-ER6020 as server and TL-ER6120 as client it works.
Ive tried both routers at home and the TL-ER6020 works as pptp server and gives access to all client.
Ive tryed to reset the TL-ER6120 to fabric default and setting up server at the beginning but no change in access.
Ive tryed older firmware with no change.
Ive disconnected my Cable modem and router for a night, no change. (to get new public ip to make sure thats its not something wrong with that).
Can It be a hardware fault?
I have also one more question about VLAN with pptp vpn tunnel in use. I have setup TL-ER6020 to have two vlans, VLAN1 and VLAN3.
Client cant access eachother locally when in different vlans. That workes as it should.
But, when I setup an pptp tunnel to a TL-ER6120 both vlans can access all ip-adresses on other side.
I want to restrict VLAN3 so it cant access anything from the vpn tunnel, is that possible?
I appreciate any help I can get.
Best Regards
Henri
