Hello

Recently I purchased a TP Link 470T+ load balancing router and attached my cable modem as primary Wan and my ADSL modem as Wan2. Everything fine when both Wans are working, But if the cable link goes down, the modem not automatically swithching to WAN2. It shows server not found for url requests. But if I power off the cable modem it automatically changes to WAN2 and I can access the internet without any problems. How can I tackle this issue ? What is the configuration required ? Now I am going to the Load Balancing>Link Backup Menu and activating a rule to use WAN2 as my primary WAN.

Link Backup is the right one.
If WAN2 is the primary WAN and WAN2 is the backup one, when WAN2 goes down, WAN1 will be activated.

Hi Tony

I agree, but in that option, I'm getting only the speed of WAN 2 all the time. If link backup is not activated the router uses WAN1 and WAN2 simultaneously and I am getting good speed and consistency. If link backup is activated, WAN2 is lying idle until WAN1 fails. Means the bandwidth of WAN2 is not useful. I am getting the speed of WAN1 only- slower speeds even higher bandwidths are available
