Will there be a Cloud Management alternative?

Will there be an alternative to the cloud management at some point?
Is there currently a way to do this?
in 5-10 Years the servers might be shutdown and i'd still like to manage my device.

Hi @Atlas192
You are using an Omada cloud-based controller, right? The cloud service for the Oamda Cloud-based controller is the same as any other possible Omada cloud solution.
If the cloud service of the Cloud-based controller shuts down, other cloud services would indeed become unavailable as well.
We have been consistently maintaining and updating the Omada Cloud, as well as continuously developing new products and introducing new features. In the near future, we have been able to ensure its stability. so there’s no need for concern. Your services are secure with our ongoing support.

@Vincent-TP thanks for your reply. I am using the festa Cloud Controller. As far as i am aware the Festa devices are not compatible with Omada, correct?
I guess your responce is still valid for the Festa Cloud service.

@Vincent-TP I strongly disagree with this statement.
It have an Omada Gateway ER605 V2.0 that has been sitting on a shelf in my office for 18 months waiting for tp-link to resolve a known firmware issue. I get 2-12 days of uptime max then poof it crashes and will not function without restoring to factory defaults.
Reports on this bug go back to 2022, why are they even selling the unit if there's a reasonable chance it won't operate as advertised? that's fraud.
don't rely, be wary.

This thread discusses TP-Link cloud service uptime, which seems unrelated to your issue.
Based on your description, this appears to be a potential hardware problem.
Have you contacted the support team yet? If so, please share your case ID so I can investigate further.

Yes, there are several Cloud Management alternatives—both in terms of tools and service models—depending on what you're looking to manage (e.g., infrastructure, cost, security, multi-cloud environments). If you're asking whether there's an alternative to managing cloud infrastructure manually or directly through IaaS providers, the answer is absolutely yes.
🔧 Cloud Management Alternatives (Tools and Platforms)
If you're looking for platforms that help manage cloud infrastructure, here are some popular alternatives:
1. Cloud Management Platforms (CMPs):
These tools help manage multi-cloud or hybrid environments from a single interface.
-
VMware vRealize Suite – Manages hybrid cloud environments, ideal for enterprises.
-
CloudBolt – Offers automation, cost control, and provisioning across multiple clouds.
-
Scalr – Designed for large organizations that need compliance and policy enforcement.
-
Morpheus – Great for DevOps teams managing multiple cloud vendors and tools.
-
RightScale (now part of Flexera) – Offers multi-cloud governance and cost optimization.
2. Native Cloud Management Tools (from IaaS providers):
Each major cloud provider offers their own management solutions:
-
AWS CloudFormation / AWS Control Tower
-
Azure Arc / Azure Monitor
-
Google Cloud Deployment Manager / Google Cloud Operations
These are useful if you're primarily working within one provider’s ecosystem.
