Hello, I just purchased 2 TL-R600VPN Routers and configured them for IpSec. Both can access the internet. Router A is the main office and Router be is a remote, small office. I set them up per instructions found on the Forum and also from the manual. The settings mirror each other and I do not see anything wrong with the configuration.

Router A, at the main office, has ports open for exchange and Activesync. Email is working fine, my first question is do I need to open ports for the VPN to work. On both routers>? On Router A at the main office?

I cannot find a screenshot or anything that explains how to setup 2 TL-R600's for IpSec. They usually show one TL-R600 with another model. Can anyone point me to a screenshot for setting up 2 TL-R600's please.

I get the error couldn't find configuration on the main site.

Does anyone know why I cannot get a tunnel to connect I really have to get this working.. somehow.. I disabled, enabled, re-edited the settings, checked them 10 times.. everything looks good.. is it a port not opened? Firmware and hardware are latest version and both match. password is the same.. Settings are matched correctly.. any ideas anyone?

Thank You.

I am trying to get VPN working on 2 TL-R600 routers. Does anything need to be done by the ISP in order to get these VPN to work? I get cannot find Configuration Errors.

OR are there anyports that need to be open for VPN to work? I have some ports open for Exchange email on the main site.. but I did not open any ports on the remote site's router.. Could that be why i cannot establish the vpn tunnel?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Provide the topology. What's the firmware version of your R600VPN?

I ran into this same problem (fought for a day or 2, then bought a different brand). I don't believe you can connect these together as a tunnel - which is why the instructions only show connections to an actual IPSec VPN router - The TL-R600 is client-only, apparently.
Correct me if I'm wrong in this assessment.

R600VPN can be used as a IPsec VPN server, there should be something wrong with the configuration or some restriction in ISP.
