Model: VIGI NVR2016H
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I'm encountering an issue with integrating my CP Plus E24A camera with the TP-Link VIGI NVR2016H. The camera, which supports ONVIF, is detected by the NVR under the same IP address (192.168.68.64) using the default credentials (admin/admin). However, upon connection, the camera does not stream video and displays a "Not Connected" status.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

  1. Firmware Verification:

    • Ensured that the NVR is updated to the latest firmware version (1.2.1 Build 241227) released in January 2025, which includes enhancements for ONVIF compatibility.

  2. Manual Camera Addition:

    • Attempted to add the camera manually via the NVR's web interface using the ONVIF protocol with the provided IP address and credentials.

  3. Stream Settings Check:

    • Verified that the camera's stream settings (resolution and codec) are compatible with the NVR, which supports H.264 and H.265 codecs.

  4. Network Configuration:

    • Confirmed that both the camera and NVR are on the same subnet with unique IP addresses to avoid conflicts.

    • Performed a ping test from the NVR to the camera's IP address to ensure network connectivity.

Observations:

  • The NVR detects the camera but fails to stream video, displaying a "Not Connected" status.

  • Disabling the substream on the camera results in the NVR showing "No Network Video."

Request for Assistance:

Has anyone experienced a similar issue with integrating CP Plus cameras with TP-Link VIGI NVRs? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @sagnikbanik

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

There were compatibility reports on this brand before. We presume that this is a problem with the ONVIF protocol, which is nota  standard one.

To locate the exact reason, we will need you to update the debug firmware and provide your MAC address in a private conversation. Then, we will review the log to see if we can locate the reason.

If you agree to work with us, please reply in a timely manner.

  @sagnikbanik

And in addition, to view the stream, you also need ONVIF account, which has been created on the camera already. On the NVR, we use that account to get authenticated and view.

It does not mean anything if you can connect its brand NVR.

Our VIGI can also work on our NVR.

I sent two replies. I don't see your response to the first reply from me.

We used to have an issue with the CP Plus. You can search the forum. This seems to be a compatibility issue. We never have reports on the cameras or with our Tapo or VIGI cams.

I need your cooperation before we can see the debug log after you install the debug firmware.
