Hardware Version : V4

Firmware Version :

ISP :

I was running pfsense over Alix and port forwarding used to work super smooth, when my Alix burnt I replaced it with TL-R470T+ V4 Firmware: 1.0.0 Build 20141208 Rel.36359s

My issue is port forwarding / Virtual Server does not work, I tried to google and search through other threads here and found one with same HW V4 but the issue remains unanswered. I've two WANs,

wan 1. pppoe over adsl and get a public IP
wan 2. direct ethernet wan behind a ISP router thus gets a private IP.

I'm running dyndns over wan 1 and thus with my virtual server setting i've selected wan 1.
in MENU>Advance>Virtual server

1, Server, WAN1, TCP/UDP, 9000, 9000, 192.168.1.20, Active


Since this did not work, I also added MENU>Firewall>Access Control>Access rules just to open up the port with the filter:

1, Any, Any, Allow, 9000, WAN, always.

This rule does not let me select which WAN.

Neither works, any valuable pointers will be highly appreciated.

If so, why not contact their support team directly if you need an "answer"? Here is the forum for users to communicate and share...

For me, it works (for more than one forwardings) like OP posted but I needed only the setting he described in "Advanced -> NAT -> Virtual Server".
I assume that your WAN1 is connected to a dumb ADSL modem that connects its public IP to your TP-Link WAN1 interface as OP said.

I tried again, and somehow the port forwarding works for me too now, I have no idea what fixed it, maybe I did not check it properly after the last firmware update.

However, the web interface of the router still hangs, I opened a ticket with them and they responded and acknowledged the issue. They suggested that some scenario in the network traffic creates the issue for some of their users. This was a stupid suggestion, and on countering the same they escalated it to their engineer and then never got back to me with an update.

Try to turn DynDNS off to test - there seems to be a bug - see also other postings here. TP-Link is aware of this..
