Recently got my hands on 3 c540v cameras to setup at home using Frigate NVR.

 

Dear PM/Dev team.

 

Could you please consider the following request to add an onfiv ptz function?

 

Frigate supports autotracking over ONFIV but the cameras are missing one of the 2 required functions: "TranslationSpaceFov"

 

Can you please add it to an upcoming firmware release? It would allow for full control of the camera's autotracking functionality.

 

I was about to buy a few more of these but now Im not sure if I should wait or even return them sincerely I want to use all the features of the camera on my Frigate/Home Assistant integration.

We recommend you use the VIGI NVR instead.

If you insist on the third-party NVR or parts, certain features are disabled or not supported.

We do not guarantee support for a feature. If you want to make sure you can use it for now, consider the VIGI NVR.

This is blocking me buying TPLink for PTZ. By the way. The docs says that the camera supports ONVIF Profile S. Profile S includes PTZ control Thus "the functions" should not be limited imho
