4. Added support for modifying the Inform URL in SSH.

6. Optimized the AP portal function.

7. Optimized the RA message processing of the IPv6 wireless air interface.

8. Optimized the configuration logic and improved the configuration efficiency.

9. Upgraded the OpenSSL library version to 1.1.1n.

10. Added the EAP power information to LLDP messages.

12. Resolved the issue of high air interface occupancy rate in large-scale deployment scenarios.

Upgraded all 8 of my EAP650 v1 just fine, no issues so far

 

One question - why is it now stated "Adapted to omada controller v6" rather than 5.15 ?  Is controller versions being re-done and name changed ?

The Omada Controller is about to release a major version update—version 6.x.x

As you may have noticed, previous versions were labeled 3.x or 4.x.

 

 

 

 

This EAP firmware has already been adapted for v6.0.x controller.

If that is the case, this is actually great - and perhaps the same approach of adapted firmware first could also be expanded to routers and switches.  Otherwise, the endless cycle of Controller beta's and releases with new features that nobody can test because adapted firmwares arent available for other devices yet will continue.

Currently, most of our EAP versions no longer have regional restrictions.

 

Thanks for bringing this to us. I had removed that note.

My EAP673 just randomly got dropped all WiFi connections for few minutes and then reconnected. Not just lack of Internet but whole WiFi connection got terminated, the AP rebooted.

The internet was working properly during that time, cable client were up and running.

 

Would you like to get any logs? Where should I generate those if any? :)

Hello, I was led to this thread after experiencing issues with my EAP 670 V2. The behavior is that my EAP670 randomly seems to stop functioning after X # of days and requires the PoE to be removed/reinserted for it to function correctly again. During this time the wired network has no issues, it's isolated to the AP. Furthermore I cannot access the web dashboard of the AP during this time. I do not know if I can access the AP via SSH as it's disabled but I plan to enable it and attempt accessing to understand how "down" the AP is during this time. As of today (7/9/25) I am on firmware 1.3.0 Build 20250609 Rel. 35129(5553) Any suggestions would be appreciated
