Dear TP-Link Support Team,

I am currently using the TP-Link ER605 (Hardware Version: v2.0, Firmware Version: 2.3.0 Build 20250428 Rel.18967), and I would like to highlight a few issues and suggest enhancements for future firmware updates:

Issues Noticed:

  1. CPU Utilization Spike with Traffic Statistics Enabled
Enabling the Traffic Statistics feature significantly increases CPU usage, resulting in performance fluctuations. This seems inefficient and causes concerns about long-term stability.

  2. High Boot Time
The boot time of the ER605 is notably long. A performance improvement in startup routines would greatly enhance user experience.

Feature Request: Time-Based WAN Scheduling

I would also like to request an enhancement to WAN configuration:

  • Need: Ability to activate/deactivate WAN ports based on a time schedule.

  • Current Limitation: Time-based WAN control is only available for PPPoE WAN types.

  • Request:

    • Allow WAN 2 and WAN 3 (in Dynamic IP mode) to be scheduled based on time.

    • Example:

      • WAN 1 (PPPoE): Always active (Primary).

      • WAN 2 (Dynamic IP): Active from 9 AM to 6 PM.

      • WAN 3 (Dynamic IP): Active from 6 PM to 9 AM.

This functionality would be extremely useful in managing multi-ISP scenarios, balancing usage quotas, or routing traffic according to time-based ISP offers.
Please consider these improvements for the next stable firmware release. I'm confident this will significantly enhance the ER605’s capabilities and user satisfaction.

Thank you for your attention and continued support.
