OC200 - Admins, buckle up, because the IDS/IPS is gone!!!
Dear all,
I hope you are all well.
I would like you to mention the reason why the IDS/IPS is not active on the OC200, because we have already tried the option to activate it.
What happened to remove the item?
Remember that my router supports the feature, an ER605 V2.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, I noticed that in one of these updates Deep Packet Inspection was disabled. There had to be some report with these indications.
Once again, I will take the opportunity to mention some things that I think TP-Link needs to listen to and recognize.
I recognize that this OC200 hardware is too rudimentary for most needs that we have with it. However, when you have the possibility of correcting the situation in an exemplary way, you make the huge mistake of bringing a new hardware called OC220 with only the following configuration. It is too little in my opinion.
I would like to see MUCH more here to be comfortable. I am not even referring to the quadcore, but to have at least 4GB of RAM and a larger storage. We want a product that is cost-effective for use in small offices, hotels and the like, but that we can do more.
I think other people here can further complement what I am referring to. We need a more robust product, with good performance and that can offer us the longevity and management that we expected in the OC200. With the possibility of more detailed logs.
Finally, I would like to emphasize the latest updates for the OC200 (1.36.6 Build 20250613 Rel.68989) - I loved the sources. I think the comments seen here "https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/826810" are relevant. I noticed that I am having some short delays in accessing the OC200, losing control and getting the message that it is not possible to access the device. I wait a little and refresh and this will be resolved, but it will be noticeable throughout the administration for some time.
I really hope that they listen to us.
