Hello,

 

One of my ER7212PC won't boot and it is 2 years old. I'm planing to purchase a replacement unit and I want to know if It is possible to use a system backup made on  ER7212PC 1.0 (older hardware revision) and perform a restore on a newer hardware revision like the ER7212PC v1.6, 2.0 or 2.60?

Yes. As long as the first three digits of their adapted controller version number match, it will work.
