My EAP 683 LR keeps dropping for 5Ghz band. When connected it is fast. But during a meeting, video session, or any stream, it drops so often to a point of being useless.
Often, I'm the only person using the 5HZ.
I have the same problem posted elsewhere, but there was NO actual resolution.
I have the latest firmware.
Not using VLAN or anything particularly sophisticated.
I've only had this for about a year.
Help.

To understand the issue better, please let us know the following info:
1. How often will the drop issue happen? Or it always happens as long as there is video session, or any stream?
2. When the issue happened, will the wifi symbol disappeared from the phone?
3. How will the connection be recovered? Will it be recovered automatically, or will a reboot be required?
4. When the issue happened, would all wireless clients lose internet connection simultaneously, or would some clients still be working?
5. What's the IP address of the clients when the issue happened? Still correct IP, or 169.254.x.x?
In the meantime, you may refer to the following guide to do some optimization:
1. Various. But at least once a day, and sometimes several times in an hour. Happens even when browsing. All of the sudden browsing stop or show page unreachable, only to discover WIFI is disconnected
2. On both phone and laptop, the WIFI symbol disappears, or show barely one bare and then disappears.
3. Eventually, the WIFI will be back up and the WIFI will re-appear. I'm guessing the WIFI reappears about 50 seconds to 120 seconds latter. A reboot is not required. Though I have tried to reboot in hopes it would resolve the problem.
4. All clients loose connections. All phones, all laptops.
5. The IP address are ones assigned via DHCP which is in the 10.0.0.0/8 IP range.
I have ensure firmware is the latest, changed to channels that are not crowded, maximum transmit power, and changed the width from maximum 120 80, 40, 20.
Also turned off 2.4Ghz so as to focus only on 5Ghz.
