I would like to kindly request an enhancement to the functionality related to the Backup Schedule in the Omada controller.

Currently, with several sites managed through a single OC400 controller, a significant issue arises in the event of a failure – we do not have an easy way to restore the configuration for a specific site.

Is it possible to introduce a feature for automatic backups with separation by individual sites? This would be especially useful for users like myself who are still using local OC200 controllers. Since these devices are still supported, they could serve as a backup solution and enable quick restoration of configurations in case of a failure of the main controller.

You have introduced the Cluster feature, which is a big step forward, but unfortunately, OC200 was excluded from this solution – even though it is a device that could, in many cases, ensure continuity of operations within local infrastructure.

Additionally, I have previously submitted a suggestion on the forum to expand the “Connect to File Server” feature by integrating it with popular cloud services such as OneDrive or Google Drive. This would greatly improve the convenience of storing and managing backups.

I would be grateful if you would consider the suggestions above, and I thank you in advance for your response.

Hi  @Pablo_PL

Thanks for posting here.

Considering the performance of OC200, it's hard to add this feature.

I would recommend establishing a software controller instead.

Thanks for your understanding.

  @Vincent-TP

Please note that I have decided to move other branches to one location on the OC400. I do not intend to open a backup from the OC400 to the OC200, but I do want to be able to automatically create a backup of the website that was previously running on the OC200. In the event of an OC400 failure, I will always be able to restore the site data configuration from the OC400 to the OC200. Using Site Migration as an example.
