Hi everyone,

I have an Omada-managed network where I set up a hidden SSID. When I manually connect to it from a MacBook, it works fine. However, after shutting down or restarting the MacBook, it does not reconnect automatically — the network does not appear and I have to configure it again to connect.

I already checked the option to remember the network on macOS, but the issue persists.

This seems to happen only with hidden SSIDs.

Has anyone faced this before? Is there any setting in Omada or macOS that would allow MacBooks to automatically reconnect to hidden SSIDs?

Thanks!

@Edvan I had the same issue on my MacBook with hidden SSIDs. macOS often skips hidden networks on reboot.

  • Make SSID visible once, connect & save it.
  • Then hide SSID again in Omada; Mac will now auto-reconnect.
  • Ensure “Auto-Join” is checked in Wi‑Fi settings.
  • If still it confuses you, get a wifi guide app from the https://www.happymoodhub(.)com

hope it helps

Hi  @Edvan

Thanks for posting here.

Is it occurring only with this specific MacBook? Are other clients experiencing the same situation?

Is it occurring on all of your EAP units? If yes, please also share a screenshot of the Device page of your controller.

Please provide screenshots of your SSID configuration for our review.

In the meantime, please disable OFDMA to have try: EAP->config->Advanced->2.4G/5G->OFDMA
