PASTE does not work properly on the 2FA field during login (2. request, because still not solved.)
Hi,
I would like to push the topic again, as the issue has not yet been resolved.
2FA feels like 2010.
Neither in Safari on the Mac nor in the iOS app can the 2FA code be entered properly using normal means.
I don't even dare to ask for a passkey. That would actually be the most technically up-to-date solution.
On the Mac, I have to enter the code manually because normal copy&paste doesn't work.
Pasting works on iOS, i.e. you can go to the password app, search for the account manually, copy the code and enter it in the Omada app. Unfortunately, this is not state of the art.
Furthermore, the app does not adhere to the iOS standards. It asks for the 2FA code. If you then select “insert automatically” via the context menu, the password and not the 2FA code is inserted into the code field, i.e. the app does not use the correct field name.
Even other apps, which are always a little behind, can now do this correctly.
They ask for a login, in the best case iOS already offers the account and PW and 2FA code are entered and confirmed correctly.
Second best case: You can “fill in automatically” via the context menu on the input field, the iOS password app is displayed and you can select the account etc. etc.
If you want to test it, create a Paypal account with an iPhone/Mac and use the website as well as the app on your phone. This is how it should look nowadays.
That would really be great!
Thank you!
