Hi all,

just realised, that Android App misses some importatnt info and shows strange incorrect information:

  • no SD-WAN status (nor config) available

  • Gateway/Internet connection info:

  • on the Global View are the information correct:

Global View - OK

  • but on Site View is the informaton about Gateway and Internet connection "N/A" - not available...

Site View - Not OK

Omada Android App version: v4.25.27

Phone: Pixel 6a, Android 16 on latest patch level

Controller version: 5.15.24.18 (Windows)

ER605 v2 FW: 2.3.0 Build 20250428 Rel.18967

Hi  @ZoloNN

Thank you for the reply.

Just verified, the Omada APP does not support displaying SD-WAN information, and currently we have no plans to add this functionality.

Regarding the WAN info display as N/A:

Under Global View, the display primarily shows the number of Gateways. However, in the Site View, the section below Gateway does not indicate the Gateway count but rather displays network utilization instead—this is because each Site is restricted to adopting only a single Gateway. We have plans to optimize this aspect.

Hi, As far as I know, you need to go to the Controller—Site—Dashboard page on the web page and set the "Internet Capacity" for network utilization to display properly. It is calculated based on your preset Internet Capacity. HTH

Hi  @ZoloNN

Thanks for posting here.

As per the SDWAN, please allow me sometime to check with other teams if this is syn with Omada APP.

For the site view not displaying GW,

did you try to exit the APP from the background?

Will both of the site behave the same? Does the HUB device site also display as N/A?

Did you check the controller's web interface? does it display correctly on the two sites?

Hi @Vincent-TP,

Both sites shows gateway and internet as N/A, while controller shows all perfectly.

App was stopped, cache cleared, even uninstalled/reinstalled - still displaying N/A on both sites....

Hi @Vincent-TP,

it's sad that it is not planned to display the sadSD-WAN status in the app....  It seems, I have to carry my notebook at all times - even on vacation.....

on the other hand - the N/A should, according your info, display network utilization - not device count. I've initiated a large file transfer for test - and the info in app still remains at "N/A".........

  @ZoloNN

Normally, once SD-WAN is successfully configured, no further configuration is needed.

May I ask why you want continuous SD-WAN monitoring? Do you frequently need to modify SD-WAN settings? Or is it for connection status monitoring?

If it's for status monitoring, perhaps adding an SD-WAN status change notification would be more effective?

As for the WAN showing N/A, it's as @Ray_A  said, you need to go to the webpage, click the button, and input the ISP bandwidth.

Hi @Vincent-TP and @Ray_A ,

Ray_A: thanks for hint - now it shows some % values wink

Vincent-TP: Regarding SD-WAN monitoring - I have other tools to monitor the availability of devices.

I have currently only two sites, but I plan to add third one and it would be very helpful to see the status of each SD-WAN node in the App - I definitely don't expect config capabilities in the App - but at least full status report of all networks/devices.

Hi  @ZoloNN

You probably won't need to see the status often. But if necessary, you can also access it via the cloud website on your phone.

You could also submit a feature request—if enough people vote for it, I believe the R&D team would consider adding this functionality.
