Hi all,

I have deployed a FESTA FR365 (https://www.tp-link.com/fr/business-networking/soho-festa-gateway/festa-fr365/) in my small business.

it works great.

There are one main room, a second small one and some space outside.

I want to deploy some cameras in these three places.

Requirements for the cameras will be :

  • Night vision
  • sound recording (possibly two-ways audio)
  • WIFI and POE (for some cameras I will have no way to install any wires, some other I will)
  • IP67 for the one outside.
  • For all "dome",  model. I want to be able to remotely perform 360* moves.
  • live recording / and playback
  • mover detection

I had a look at the documentation, but I am still not clear about what to choose and possible deployments.

First question I have is about the NVR : is it mandatory ? (I used some camera from other brand in the past and everything was based on local SD cards).

Again about NVR (assuming they are mandatory) , As soon as WIFI cameras are part of the picture , is "VIGI NVR1108H-W" the only option ?

Then the question is which camera the best for my small deployement.

Thank in advance for any helps

regards

EJ

1. NVR is for users who would like to centralize to store the videos for a long period of time.

Up to you. It is not necessary.

You can use models that support a micro-SD card to store the videos. But that would not last that long like an NVR.

2. The wireless camera still joins the AP or wireless router. As long as they are under the same local subnet, they can interconnect. NVR -W model is built in with wireless function. It does not mean you have to connect a wireless camera to a wireless NVR directly.

As long as it is a LAN, it'll work.

3. You can go to the official website to pick up a model and consult. The team does not make a product recommendation or help pick a model.

This web supports function filters, so you can pick it up based on the filters.
