Hi... I've noticed there are a couple of users who are downloading movie files - normally 1.5gb to 3gb - takes them a while but it's not really what I made the wifi available for :)

I'll be honest I've had this system for years now so cannot remember if I am able to limit a client to say 1gb per day or session etc.

If you can do it, can someone point me in the right direction, I'm guessing it's one of the advanced settings below:

The Client Rate Limit Profile is 10mb - hence "Ten" but as I remember that's just a speed/rate limiter it doesn't restrict the user's download to say 1gb or 2gb...

Anyway - thanks for anticipated co-operation.

Thanks!

Hi  @Bebe1980

Currently, we can't limit the traffic via WLAN advanced settings direcrtly. But you can acheive this via Portal > Voucher authentication:

Below is a detailed guide:

How to Configure Voucher Authentication on Omada Controller

The GUI is Omada 5.14 or below, but the config steps are the same.

  @Vincent-TP

Thanks - I got rid of the vouchers because everyone uses it for free... maybe I'll have to look at changing it back again!

Hi  @Bebe1980

Here’s a guide on using the portal to limit concurrent connections. You can adapt this approach to restrict total traffic usage as well:

How to Limit the Maximum Number of Clients Connecting to Your Wi-Fi Network?
