I’ve seen on the forums that wireless VIGI cameras don’t support FTP video upload because of potential Wi-Fi packet loss issues.

My question is regarding the VIGI NVR1108H-W (Wi-Fi NVR):

Does this NVR model currently support uploading event-triggered video clips to an FTP server (via LAN or internet)?

If not, are there plans to add FTP video upload support to the NVR in a future firmware update?

Since the NVR records video locally and isn’t subject to the same packet loss issues as wireless cameras, it seems like a good candidate to handle FTP uploads reliably. Having the NVR send short video clips (rather than just still images) would be a very practical feature for many setups.

Additionally, I noticed that some wireless VIGI models already support uploading to the TP-Link Cloud. Could you clarify:

What network technology/protocol is used for cloud uploads?

Is there a way for users to configure their own VPS or FTP server instead of using TP-Link’s cloud subscription service without using a local HDD?

If not, is this type of flexibility being considered?

Could you please confirm whether FTP video upload is supported on the NVR today, or if it may be added down

the line?
