So just replaced my dead Netgear with an R600VPN. Everything is up and working fine, except I cannot access my local servers via my external static IP. For example, I can connect to my Teamspeak server via its local IP, but if I try to connect using my domain name or external IP, then it times-out, however, everyone outside my network can connect perfectly fine.

It is because the R600VPN does not support NAT Lookback.

Thanks for the reply. That's what what I'm after. So my options in this seem somewhat limited, I either need a DNS server on my network, or find a router with NAT Loopback? Any suggestions?

Hi Anach, what is the hardware version of your R600VPN? I have a R600VPN, its hardware version is 2, it support NAT lookback as I tested

Hi Ada, I have been in contact with support, whom have confirmed NAT Loopback is supported (hardware version 2), but I am unable to get it to function on my network. So currently we're trying to work out why, as it works fine when I plugin a Netgear.

Further testing. I tested WNDR4500, WNDR3800, TL-W350G, all working fine with loopback both TCP/UDP ports. Testing with R600VPN has confirmed that TCP NAT loopback is functioning as expected, however, UDP NAT loopback is not, no matter what ports or service I try to enable.

I upgraded to an ER604W, which also works fine with NAT Loopback, but unfortunately I had to setup a repeater as it didn't recognise the 15m cat5 cable for some reason, which all other's had no problems with.
