Hello, I've recently bought and installed EAP110, with a unique SSID, wpa2 security encription and mac filtering active. Usually there are about 6 or 7 devices (mostly tablets and cellphones), not more than 10 to 12 in rare occasions.
Users constantly call for support reporting that connectivity is lost and SSID is no longer available when detecting wireless networks. Since EAP web interface keeps working, I reboot remotly the unit and it begins working again. It happens at least 3 or 4 times a day!!! Sometimes it simply stops transmitting and when trying to reconnect you obtain an out of time obtaining IP address. Our network is based on Windows Active Directory, DHCP server is managed by primary domain controller and it's plenty of available ip addresses. Leases are assigned for a period of 3 hours to assure availability when employees leave the building.
Does anybody can help me and tell me what could be happening please? (My company directors are asking me for explanations and I don't know what to tell them.)
Thank you very much,
Nestor

I also have three EAP110 in my office and it have run for a one year normally. Could you give me the topology? When you can't see the SSID, do you try to disable broadcasting SSID then enable it? Try whether it could help. Also do you try to make a schedule let the EAP reboot in a specific time?

It sounds like exactly the same problem I have, but with EAP220.

Check my post:
http://forum.tp-link.com/showthread.php?83454-EAP220-stops-working-after-7-10-days-(VLAN-multiple-SSIDs)

Are you running your setup with mixed udtagged and tagged traffic to your EAP? I dont know if it has anything to do with this, I'm still working on it... But I think we have the same problem.

I have this same issue with my EAP120. I have a VLAN defined (VLAN10) in the EAP120. The AP has worked fine and without any problems for about a week. Suddenly a call from the office: "no network connectivity" "the SSID dissappeared". A reboot was the temporary solution to the problem.

What is up?

Still dont know for sure... Maybe we have to make a direct contact to TP-link and see what they can do for us... :( I'm a little irritated about this product.

I have contacted TP-link support, waiting for an answer. What are you guys configuration?

I'm using EAP220, multible SSID and multible VLAN. (Right now VLAN8, 10 and 20) Connected with POE (A TP-link power inserter). I have only seen this issue on 2.4Ghz so far, but I have not used VLAN on 5Ghz. That's why I think this MIGHT be VLAN related...

My EAP110 is connected to port of a distribution Allied 9000 switch which has 2 vlans (10 and 20). Vlan 10 is data and 20 is VoIP. I'm thinking of upgrading firmware, hope that fixes the problem....

Still no luck here... Newest firmware used. Seems to be an issue related to certain types of client devices. When specific devices are connected to the AP, it seems to go down after some time. When these devices isn't connected, the AP doesn't have any problems... Strange.

I am also curious about that, could you tell me the specific devices you mentions? So it doesn't blame to the VLAN settings?
