URGENT: ER8411 firmware issues after exploit
Afternoon all, I am trying to upgrade the firmware to the newest firmware but I get the following error. Update failed, please select correct file. I am using the file from the omada support website>er8411>downloads>top item. Thanks!

@NeilR_M Thanks, yes it is for sure V1, I tried from the link as well and get the same error. I tried from the controller>Golobal>Firmware>onetime firmware upgrade. and tried from the Custom upgrade on the 3 dots next to the manage device button. both gave me the same error.

@BH723 Can you confirm your current firmware version once more? I don't see a build that matches the one in your initial post, checking multiple regions as well.

@NeilR_M On October 15th i seen this post and pushed the update. ER8411 V1 1.3.3 Build 20250930 Pre-Release Firmware (Released on 11th October, 2025) - Business Community. i could always downgrade to 1.3.2 and attempt again?

@BH723 Yeah, that'll be the case here. Go ahead and downgrade, and then try again. I missed that there was a pre-release firmware available for this model, unfortunately.

@NeilR_M Got it, thanks. It gives me the same error when trying to downgrade. If I forget the device it will erase the config in the controller as well? I guess I need to reset the router to "default" firmware if that is possible? Any recommendations? Unplug the lan and use the reset button on the face of the gateway?

@BH723 The configuration should remain on the controller after forgetting the device. Resetting via the hardware reset button should allow the controller to re-adopt the device as long as the gateway is connected to the internet.

@NeilR_M I am unable to downgrade or upgrade. I removed the router from the network and tried to upgrade or downgrade directly connected to the router with the same errors. Did I lock this thing up by installing the pre-release?
