Hi

I had a NVR1008H and several C440/C440-W on site A, I set up object detection events and they work fine.

Recently, I moved the NVR to site B and make it connected to site A through VPN.

The VPN connection is established by gateways.

The NVR and the cameras are in different subnets and the NVR can still record the footage from cameras, but the object detections don't work anymore.

However, I added a C440-W on site B and the object detection works fine.

Is it a limitation or is there a solution for it?

There should be no restriction.
How many devices do you have in Site A and what are their exact hardware and software versions?
What is the current motion-detection configuration?
Please try toggling the motion-detection switch off and on again to see if it takes effect.
If it still doesn’t work, record a short video that shows the failure and share it for analysis.

Hi,

I was also working on other routing problem across VPN,

and I found that the root cause is that the IPv4 Gateway and of IP cameras are reset after connecting to NVR.

The gateway of NVR is 192.168.100.1,

while the gateway of cameras are 192.168.10.1.

I tried to set the right gateway for cameras but they just get reset after a while.

Is there a way to stop the gateway of cameras from being reset?
