Adding an ER707-M2 to an existing OMADA network without changing the configuration of OMADA
Hello!
A TL-R740T+ has been running in my network for a long time, which is now to be replaced by an ER707-M2.
My OMADA network consists of an OC200 V1 with 8 switch and 8 EAP APs and approx. 70 clients.
Unfortunately, after hours, it was not possible to record the ER707-M2 in OMADA. The OC200 V1 and the ER707-M2 are up to date with the latest firmware (OC200 1.34.2_Build 20250110, ER707-M2 1.2.3_Build 20240822)
Whether I configure the ER707 previously identically like its predecessor or whether I only hang it into the net with a user/password and the permission of OMADA, each time the ER707 changes its IP back and smashes my whole network (10.0.0.x) or gets stuck with the ADOPTING. A link is not displayed on any port, the ER707 is absolutely dead. Also directly with the notebook you can no longer reach the router, all ports are down, it only helps a reset.
No chance to get the ER707 to adopt my existing network in the 10.0.0.x range. All switches are OMADA capable and therefore configured to allow the default network 192.168.0.x and my VLAN in the 10.0.0.x range.
Why can't I take over the ER707 in MY network? Why can the ER707 only have the 192.168 IP range? I have already invested so many hours, it is very unsatisfactory and annoying that this gateway is fighting back.
I need the OMADA config on the ER707.
With the request for support,
Greetings,
Peter
