Model: EAP650
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I have mesh disabled and both APs are connected to my switch. The EAP610 doesnt show anything uplink or downlink but the EAP650 always shows the EAP610 as the downlink device and nothing on the uplink. Topology also seems to show that the EAP650 is downlink of the EAP610. Is this just a bug or is something causing the traffic from the EAP650 to be routed through the EAP610 when it shouldnt?

Hi  @eblieb

Thanks for posting here.

Is the switch a SDN switch managed by the controller? Please let us know the model number.

In the meantime, please enable EAP LLDP option, and reboot the EAPs, check if it helps. Thanks.

Re:EAP650 always shows my EAP610 as the downlink device?
Yesterday - last edited Yesterday

I had to switch my controller to a docker container and now I cant even get my EAP610 to adopt (keeps saying adopt failed). The EAP650 did adopt just fine tho and currently doesnt list it is downstream of anything. I am wondering if because the EAP650 is adopted, the EAP610 is failing to adopt because of this issue?!?

Edit: Got the EAP610 to adopt and sure enough.. the EAP650 immediately changed to downlink of the EAP610.

The switch is a TL-SG1016PE so no it isn't managed by the controller (which I still dont understand why it isn't since it obviously has the interface abilities).

LLDP is enabled, Mesh is disabled and this is from the EAP650 - Note that the EAP610 and EAP650 are both connected to the network switch and not to each other.
