Unable to update OC200 v1 to v 6.0.0.34 version
Hi,
I have an Omada OC200 v1 controller running Omada SDN Controller V5.15.24.21 with firmware version 1.36.7 Build 20250707 Rel.72474.
In the OC200 web interface, I see the message: “A new version of Omada Controller is available for upgrade. Release Notes for Omada SDN Controller V6.0.0.34.”
I tried to update three times. The download completed successfully, but the reboot that should follow never happened.
The OC200 responds to ping, but when I try to access its web interface, the page is not available.
The LEDs stayed on the whole time, but the OC200 became unresponsive. I had to disconnect the RJ45 cable to force a restart.
Unfortunately, it still keeps the original version.
Thank you for your help,
Pavel

All devices have been adopted without inserting the USB stick. All working normally. No perform any reset cause I want to keep the settings. To complex to redoo everything manually and not trust the restore especially on big version change but fortunatelly issue has been fixed.

Hi @GiorV
a few minutes ago I performed the update by removing the USB flash drive. The update went correctly, everything loaded properly and the devices adopted without issues. I then reinserted the USB flash drive and the original backups appeared as well.
One more thing came to my mind — if you’re not using a USB flash drive, how are you powering the OC200? With the adapter or via PoE? I’m using PoE because saving backups to a USB flash drive is only possible when the OC200 is powered via PoE.

Try to attach a log here. I think can be downloaded. Maybe the teck team will figure out. Seems that only with multiple tries goes and the USB stick is only an coincidence here.
