Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: V6

Hello there,

Client list shows power saving mode on for some devices (non IoT), APs are configured to be disabled (2.4GHz and 5GHz). On the iOS App, it shows the same

Got this bug in V5 and after upgrading to V6, its the same. I don't know if i have power saving on or off - I suppose its off.

Same issue as here: https://community.tp-link.com/en/business/forum/topic/689364

APs:

AP Parter and AP Etaj are EAP650s and AP Parter Wall is EAP615-Wall

EAP650(EU) v1.0, Firmware Version 1.1.3 Build 20250326 Rel. 54048

EAP615-Wall(EU) v1.0, Firmware Version - 1.5.4 Build 20250515 Rel. 67108

Controller: OC200 2.0 Firmware Version - 2.22.10 Build 20251118 Rel.34511

Already tried basic stuff like enable & disable, reboot

Thank you!

Hi  @claudiu678

@denis-odessit

Just confirmed, when clients enter power-saving mode, for example, after being inactive for a period of time and going into sleep, the controller will display this bulb.

This is unrelated to whether the AP has Unscheduled Automatic Power Save Delivery (U-APSD) enabled.

We recommend monitoring the situation for a while—was the client displaying the “lightbulb” icon actually inactive at that time?

Hi  @claudiu678

Thanks for posting here.

Please show us this info for the EAP units so we can understand the wifi environment.

Is this bulb only present on specific fixed clients, or does it appear randomly on any client?

Hello  @Vincent-TP,

I only saw the bulb on Laptops and iPhones (all other stuff are IoT devices and I don't think they are compatible with Power Saving mode)

Hi  @claudiu678

Thanks for the reply.

Are all the connected iPhones and laptops showing this bulb?

Does that mean Android phones don't have the bulb?

Is there any wireless issue for those clients?

Mainly yes, i think only when they are on 2.4GHz the bulb is not showing.

Only YeelinkLightStrip6 - its always on 2.4GHz and always with the bulb on

Does that mean Android phones don't have the bulb?

No, I am not really able to monitor Android phones, since there is only one and its not always on, but when its on it shows the bulb.

Is there any wireless issue for those clients?

No, last year after an upgrade of the controller (don't remember what ver.) it activated power saving automatically, and had some issues, but i deactivated it on every AP

Current bulb status (also android phone)

Thank you for your time.

@denis-odessit

Thanks for the feedback. I am confirming the specific reason for this symbol appearing.

Just to confirm, from your screenshots, only the 2.4G status is shown. Could you check again if the option for 5G is also turned off?
