When i power up the NVR 1008H... I still keep seeing the logo. I can use my mouse/cursor. But there is nothing else on the screen that i can interact with. Do i absolutely require an HDD to run this NVR or can i atleast see live videos until i get HDD ?

Have you recently attempted to upgrade the NVR and had the power cut off during the process?
Under normal circumstances, running the NVR without a hard drive only disables recording export and playback; all other functions remain available.
