Need clarification about EAP models
My own understanding is that EAPs model like (EAP225-Outdoor) acts like a Access Point that extends the LAN cable to a WiFi AP. So does this means that if I connect my EAP225-Outdoor to a router LAN port (assuming it provides PoE), and my phone to the EAP225-Outdoor (so like Router <- EAP <- Phone), I would see my phone MAC address in the Router? Is this correct?
I'm asking about this because I need to filter out mac addresses in the Router (specifically Mikrotik RB941-2nd which exposes a filtering API), and I have to ensure the EAP doesn't do any NAT or modify the MAC address of connected stations.
Very Thanks,
