ER605 - Web filtering Settings missing
I recently purchased an ER605 for my home network and have configured it as a VPN gateway, which is working as expected. The device is connected to the Omada Cloud Controller; however, the web filtering option appears to have disappeared.
I want to be able to block specific URLs for selected clients. I’m fairly sure this capability existed when the device was running in standalone mode.
Please help :)

Are you using cloud essential? If so, it's a very limited version of the Omada controller, I doubt if there is web filtering there.

@MR.S It seems to be a feature of the device and not controlled by Omada licenses. I've looked at the standard license and it doesn't mention anything about including webfiltering. It was a feature in standalone mode which makes me think its a device level feature.

No it is not a device level feature but I am a bit unsure what you mean by web filtering, are you thinking of URL Category or Custom URLs, ER605 does not have URL Category only Custom URL you can configure it in the Network config menu and URL filtering.

But if you look at Cloude Essential, you don't have such a menu. It only has basic functions.

@MR.S That's exactly the option I'm looking for, but it included in my menu. I know it was there when the device was in standalone mode, however i can't remember if it appeared when i added the device to the cloud controller. Frustrating!

@Nath_A If i purchase a standard license will that enable the feature?

Yes, or you can buy an OC220 and host the controller yourself. I think there is a demo period on the standard if you want to try or have access until you buy a license.
