Hi,
I have a bridge EAP211 and happens that Main Ap and Client AP lose static IP address and they come back to default IP.
In a mounth it's the second time this has happened.
The bridge works by 4 months and the distance between two buildings is 500 meters.

The power of the signal is not very hard because there are an obstacle along the route.
Can you give me some advice to fix this problem?

Thanks for posting here. 

How did you power on the two EAP? How long are the POE cables you are using?

 

Apart from the IP address, is there any other configuration change, such as SSID?

 

How did you notice that the IP addresses changed?

thanks for your reply.

I try to response to your questions:

 

  • Power supply comes from UPS
  • POE cables are long more and less 5 meters
  • Only IP address changes
  • The bridge is in a net to controll some strumentation through a SCADA between two buildings. When we don't see data of the second buildings, the reason is for the change of IP address
  • In the first event Main AP and Client AP changed their IP addresses, in the last event only Client AP changed IP address.

    Anyway if changing only one IP address of the bridge, we lose datas of the second buildings
