Model: CPE210
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 2.2.4

Hello

I previously purchased and configured two CPE210 units to extend my building network to an outdoors device. The set up has been running well for about two months. Just recently something has changed with my building network and the CPE210 units have not been functioning. Currently I am unable to properly configure the CPE210 access point. Different combinations of static IP,Netmask, gateway IP,Primary DNS, and Secondary DNS have not yeilded a successful combination. The accesspoint itself seems to have internet access. I am able to use the ping tool in the PharOS interface to ping 8.8.8.8. However when I connect a device to the acesspoint it is unable to obtain a valid IP address or internet connection. Even when I configure the device to have a known working static IP it still cannot connect. I have checked for IP address conflicts and have not found any. The only change I have noticed is with the DNS addresses. However updating to the new addresses did not resolve the issue. I have reset the AP multiple times and followed the quick start to no avail. What is a good next step to get my devices connected?

Hi  @Esully565

Please check if the MAXtream is enabled for the Access point. If yes, please disable it and test again.

Hi  @Esully565

Thanks for posting here.

>>>How did the device connect to the access point? via the SSID?  Please test with different wireless clients

If unplug the AP from the main router, and plug a PC with the same cable, will the PC have internet access? We should first make sure the main network is working.

In the meantime, for Internet configuration, you may contact hotline support team to get a real-time help.

Hello Vincent

  1. How did the device connect to the access point? via the SSID?  Please test with different wireless clients
    1. Using SSID on my laptop I am not able to connect to the internet and the laptop does not receive a valid IP address
    2. Using SSID on another desktop in the building also does not connect to the internet and does not receive a valid IP address.
    3. Using SSID on my personal phone does work and provides and internet connection
    4. Using SSID on the client CPE210 seems to work. I can use the ping utility to reach 8.8.8.8 when connected
  2. If unplug the AP from the main router, and plug a PC with the same cable, will the PC have internet access?
    1. Yes, The cable going to the AP does give internet access to the laptop with a valid IP address.
