Request for Comprehensive, Machine-Readable Configuration Dumps (JSON/CLI) for AI-Driven Opt
Description:
As a high-density Omada user (300+ devices, 10 APs, complex Matter/Thread ecosystem), I am requesting the ability to generate a full, unencrypted configuration dump of the entire site.
The Limitation of the Current GUI:
While the Omada GUI is user-friendly, it is inherently a limited abstraction layer. It does not display the full complexity of the underlying configuration (specifically regarding low-level multicast handling, ARP table timeouts, and SFP+ physical layer negotiations). For users utilizing AI-driven analysis tools to maintain 24/7 smart home stability, the GUI view is insufficient.
The Request:
I am requesting a feature—available via both the GUI and the SSH/CLI—that allows the owner to "dump" the site's complete configuration into a standardized, machine-readable format (e.g., JSON or structured text).
Key Requirements:
1. Full Logic Exposure: The dump must include the granular logic not visible in the GUI (e.g., advanced Spanning Tree parameters, IGMP Snooping timers, and detailed radio calibration logs).
2. CLI Accessibility: Provide a specific CLI command (e.g., export-config --json) that outputs the entire site configuration to the terminal for easy copy-pasting into diagnostic tools.
3. Owner-Authorized Decryption: Allow owners to export their existing .cfg backup in an unencrypted format by providing the controller's master password at the time of export.
The Rationale:
I own the hardware and the data it generates. As the network architect for my home, I require the ability to bridge my Omada environment with AI diagnostic platforms. Allowing owners to "see under the hood" via a CLI or JSON dump is the only way to effectively optimize a modern, high-density Matter and Thread environment.
