Thanks for posting here.
When setting up the CPE for the first time, you may put it beside the access point.
If still can't detect the wireless signal, please share with us some screenshots of the CPE's config.
Note: For Antenna Type, please keep the default setting; selecting feed-only will change the wireless pattern and may cause this issue.

@Vincent-TP Good day,
I hope you are well.
I’m looking for some advice regarding a strange issue between two Pharos client devices.
Background
I currently have a TP-Link Pharos CPE510 working perfectly in Client Mode, connecting reliably to my indoor Wi-Fi networks as well as my target access point (EAP610).
However, when I try to use a Pharos CPE710 in the same Client setup, it is unable to detect any wireless networks at all.
✅ Working Device: Pharos CPE510 (Client Mode)
Model: CPE510 v3.20
Firmware: 2.2.4 Build 20230616
Wireless Settings:
-
Region: South Africa
-
Channel/Frequency: 36 / 5180 MHz
-
Channel Width: 20/40 MHz
-
Mode: 802.11a/n Mixed
-
TX Power: 25 dBm
-
Signal Strength: -50 / -43 dBm
-
Noise: -88 dBm
-
SNR: 46 dB
-
CCQ: 100%
This device can scan and connect to networks without any issues.
❌ Problem Device: Pharos CPE710 (Client Mode)
Model: CPE710 v2.0
Firmware: 1.0.3 Build 20230616
Wireless Settings:
-
Region: South Africa
-
Mode: 802.11a/n/ac
-
Channel Width: 20/40/80 MHz
-
TX Power: 27 dBm
-
EIRP Limit: Enabled
-
Survey Button: Available
Issue:
The Survey scan list is completely empty.
No SSIDs appear at all, even though:
-
The CPE510 sees all nearby Wi-Fi networks
-
The EAP610 is broadcasting normally
-
The CPE710 works in AP mode (it can broadcast an SSID)
Survey Window on CPE710
The scan table shows only the column headers, but no networks are detected:
-
BSSID
-
SSID
-
SNR
-
Signal/Noise
-
Channel
-

Main Question
Is it actually possible for a CPE710 to connect to an EAP610 in Client Mode?
Or is there a known compatibility/region/channel limitation that would explain why the CPE710 cannot detect any Wi-Fi networks at all?
Any advice or troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
Reece

Thanks for the reply.
To answer your questions:
Is it actually possible for a CPE710 to connect to an EAP610 in Client Mode?
>>>Yes.
Or is there a known compatibility/region/channel limitation that would explain why the CPE710 cannot detect any Wi-Fi networks at all?
>>>Nope. I belive it's more a configuration reason, since you mentioned that it's working when setting to AP mode.
What's the antenna type did you set for the CPE710? Please make sure it's under default mode, not feed-only.
