Hello all.

I got a vm machine with Vigi VMs software and a Vigi c540s camera.

The problem where I stuggle with at the moment is that te leds on the camera are on at night time. But what I want is that the camera is by default set into IR mode and when there is a detection the leds needs to go on but I can't find that option.

Does somebody know how to solve this problem ?

Hi  @Aviator14

Thanks for the valuable feedback.

Taking Human/Vehicle Triggered Full-Color as an example, at night, when the camera's infrared light is on, the image is black and white. With full-color activated, it detects and vehicles, and automatically switches the infrared light to white light, turning the image into color for easier viewing.

Full-color camera essentially achieves this switching from infrared to white light. However, the C540S lacks infrared lights, so this function is not available.

If you are still testing which camera works for you, you may check the comparison of C540S and C540V which has the IR LED with this link.

Hi  @Aviator14

May I ask what is your network topology?

What is the version of your VMS software? Did you check the VIGI devices on your VIGI APP with personal or enterprise edition? Except this C540S, do you have any other VIGI devices?

Hi @Hank21,

My network topology is as follows:

ISP → ER605 → SG3428 main switch (Building 1) → SG2218 main switch (Building 2, connected via fiber optics) → SG3210 main switch (Building 3, connected via fiber).

I have an Unraid server connected to the switch in Building 2. On this server, I am running a Windows VM with VIGI Security Manager version 1.8.88 installed.

I currently have one camera, a C540S, which is connected to the switch in Building 3. Both the server and the camera are in the same VLAN (VLAN 30).

I can’t find any option related to “Personal” or “Enterprise” in the VIGI app. I am running the server locally, not in the cloud, so that might be the reason.

I’m still testing with one VIGI camera to determine whether this is the type of camera I’m looking for.
