hello,

i have recently aquired a set of tp-link tl-er5120 routers and hoped to be able to restrict url access to sites, although the function is working properly for http urls, i am not able to have the same luck with https urls, i checked and saw that this is a limitation of this function, i would like to know if there isnt any workaround that can be used, i tried blocking https completely but sites such as google and yahoo automatically get blocked.

is there a way to redirect the https to http traffic and leave the https block on?

thanks in advance for the support.

I guess your purpose is to block certain https website. We can try to use Access Rule as a workaround. First, you need to know resolve the IP address from the URL of the websites and than set rules for each IP with port 443. Hope this can help you.
