Cannot set SNMP Community Name ?
Monday - last edited 17 hours ago
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 6.2.0.15

I do not seem able to set anything as the Community String to be used on one of my locations.

Previously this has never been a problem (and the string was less than 10 characters !).

Now there is a mandatory minimum length even if I try to comply with it I get this red text and I'm unable to save the config.

Any clues please ?

Thanks

Hi  @AndyBH

According to the tip, you seemed forgot to enter the "numbers" in the "Community String". You can try to enter again with numbers and see if this would work or not.

@Hank21 - Sometimes my stupididy amazes me. Thanks for pointing out the blindingly obvious. Now working.

I now have about 10 sites with a nice, simple and standard SNMP community string configured (read only so no read major threat risk) and this one newest site with "LETERS+Numbers#2026"

Regards
