ER706W added the LAN DNS feature from firmware 1.2.0.

 

Did you upgrade the firmware? Below is the download link:

I tried installing that firmware, but it failed with an error and could not be updated. I suspect this is due to region locking.



I was able to successfully update to the ER706W(JP) firmware immediately after purchasing it.

I apologize, just confirmed that wireless devices in Japan cannot upgrade to the EN firmware.

The firmware supporting LAN DNS is currently in preparation and is expected to be released at the beginning of next month.

Please wait patiently and keep an eye on the JP official website for updates. Thanks for your understanding.

Hi at all,

I have the  ER7212PC V1 with the Firmware 1.4.1 Build 20260205

I have 6 VLans and I don't see LAN DNS.

 

What can I do?

  @ArthurSpooner Checking with the one I have here in the office, I was able to confirm it does not have LAN DNS with equivalent settings. It's most likely not compatible with LAN DNS, and is unlikely to get a firmware update with support for it due to the device being End Of Life. I will confirm with the development team, but if the feature is necessary, you may need to get a different gateway.
